All pupils who take part in the Examinations may perform at the Award Presentation. This takes the form of a Dance Display and pupils can invite friends and relatives to the Award Presentation to watch them perform the dances and grades which they learnt for their Examination(s). All proceeds from the Examination Awards Presentations are donated to Charity, Charities helped include The Royal British Legion, Help For Heroes and Homeless Heroes.

In addition, Emma is always pleased to provide Dance Displays for charity events/open days/school fetes etc. All pupils are given the chance to perform in these displays (subject to reaching the necessary standard).

Each Christmas Emma arranges a dance display to which parents and friends are invited. Money raised from the dance displays is sent to various charities.

Past performances include “Mother Goose”, “Calamity Jane” and “Aladdin” for Spennymoor Amateur Operatic Society (also choreographed by Dianne), The Northern Counties Dance Teachers Association Showcase at the Gala Theatre, Durham (which raised £4,000 for Metro Radio/Magic FM’s charity Just for Kids) and pupils performed at "The Magic of Variety" at The Gala Theatre, Durham for The Magic Circle.

Dianne holds regular social dancing evenings, some to live music and some to recorded music for adult class members and their friends. Everyone is made to feel very welcome. There is always a friendly, informal atmosphere aimed at getting as many people as possible up dancing and enjoying themselves. The usual venue is St John's Hall, Meadowfield, Durham.

Please telephone Dianne on 07769 632412 for upcoming dates and further information.
